Today was another fantastic day out on the waters of Quepos, Costa Rica with Big Eye 2 Sportfishing. I, Captain Franklin Araya, had the pleasure of hosting a wonderful family from the United States for their second day of sport fishing adventure.
We set off early in the morning, the sky was clear, and the sea was calm – perfect conditions for a day of sport fishing. Equipped with our top-notch fishing gears and the best bait, we headed to our favorite fishing spot, known for its abundant marine life.
Our catch of the day was impressive, with a total of 5 sailfish out of 13 hooked. The family showed great enthusiasm and skill, reeling in each fish with determination and excitement. Each sailfish was a sight to behold, their vibrant colors glistening in the sunlight as they leapt out of the water, providing a thrilling spectacle for all on board.
In addition to the sailfish, we also encountered a variety of other marine life. Dolphins playfully chased our boat, while a group of sea turtles basked in the sun nearby. The sight of a humpback whale and her calf breaching in the distance was a highlight of the day.
Back on shore, our guests were thrilled with their catch. We follow a strict catch and release policy for all billfish to ensure the sustainability of this fantastic sport, but the thrill of the catch and the memories made are more than enough to satisfy any angler.
As the sun set on another successful day of sport fishing in Quepos, Costa Rica, we cleaned and stowed our gear, looking forward to the next day’s adventure.
