The day started early at Big Eye 2 Sportfishing in beautiful Quepos, Costa Rica. As the sun rose, we set sail with our eager guests on board, ready to experience the thrill of sport fishing in the rich, biodiverse waters of the Pacific.
Our experienced crew, led by Captain Franklin Araya, navigated the boat towards the fishing grounds. Our first catch came early in the day: a magnificent sailfish, or pez vela as we call it in Spanish. The fight was intense, and our guests were thrilled with the experience. Not long after, we hooked a second sailfish. This one put up a bigger fight, but our guests were up to the challenge. With Captain Franklin’s guidance and the crew’s assistance, our guests managed to reel in the second sailfish. It was a sight to behold, its silver body gleaming in the sunlight as it was released back into the sea.
Later in the day, our fishing lines tightened once more. This time, it was two big tunas on the hooks. The fight to reel in these hefty fish took nearly an hour, but the thrill of the catch made every minute worth it. The tunas were a great addition to our catch for the day, and our guests were beyond happy with their sport fishing experience.
As we headed back to Quepos, our guests shared their fishing stories, reliving the excitement of the day.
