Today was another great day out on the water with Big Eye 2 Sportfishing in Quepos, Costa Rica. As the owner and operator, I, Franklin Araya, had the pleasure of guiding our guests through an exciting day of sport fishing. We were blessed with favorable weather conditions and calm seas, which set the stage for an excellent day of fishing.
Our day started early, as we set off from the marina at dawn. Our destination was the offshore fishing grounds, known for their abundance of sailfish. The journey out was smooth sailing, with our guests enjoying the stunning Costa Rican coastline views.
Upon reaching our destination, we began trolling with a variety of lures. It wasn’t long before we had our first bite. The sailfish were active today, giving us a total of 34 bites. We successfully released 15 sailfish back into the water, a testament to the skill of our guests and the quality of our equipment. It was an exciting spectacle, with the sailfish leaping and fighting, their bodies shimmering in the sunlight.
In addition to the sailfish, we also targeted roosterfish. We will be focusing more on these beautiful and challenging fish tomorrow. Roosterfish are known for their strength and speed, making them a favorite among sport fishermen.
Throughout the day, our guests were treated to the incredible biodiversity of the Costa Rican waters. We saw a variety of marine life, including dolphins, sea turtles, and a variety of seabirds. It’s always a pleasure to share the beauty of our ocean with our guests.
As a bilingual captain, I was able to communicate effectively with all of our guests, ensuring they had a memorable and enjoyable experience. We pride ourselves on providing top-notch service, from the moment our guests step on board until they depart with their catch.
Tomorrow, we will be back out on the water, hoping to continue our success. We will be targeting roosterfish, and with the conditions looking favorable, we are optimistic about our chances. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s fishing report.
